This includes the collection of oral histories, of mainstream history, of stories about families and places and of archival materials.  It includes the creation and publication of products that elaborate and celebrate Martu history, including the award-winning book Cleared Out and film Contact.  Many additional films and presentations provide Martu with access to detailed and accurate history of their country and their people.  Several hundred recordings and transcripts of oral histories and talks, dating back to the 1950s and stretching up to the present day, provide a rich first-hand source of knowledge about history, cultural practice, traditional environmental knowledge and social dynamics.
