Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa (KJ) is a Martu organisation that was established in 2005 to work with Martu to build strong, sustainable communities. KJ is focused on three complementary objectives:
to support Martu to look after culture and country;
to build a viable economy in Martu communities; and
to build pathways for young Martu to a healthy future.
KJ’s programs assist Martu to engage with their country, share and learn cultural knowledge, and learn about the mainstream world.
How we work
KJ’s objectives are achieved by working in a manner that is Martu-focused and recognises and reinforces Martu values.
Our Board and governance
KJ’s Board has 12 Martu directors and three advisory directors. In 2016, KJ was awarded the Highly Commended Prize at the Indigenous Governance Awards.
Work with us
At KJ we have a real passion for what we do - it is so much more than just a job.
