Learning about family trees

The Women & Families Program in Punmu have been studying family trees. They used Manyjilyjarra resources from KJ’s Country and Culture team to explore all the different terms for family relationships.

Martu made family trees for the kids out of leaves, branches and photographs. Afterwards they studied family trees from KJ’s archives. People of all ages came every week to spend time looking through their family trees.
