We are proud that Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa continues to create opportunities for Martu across our communities. This year, more families travelled, camped and learned together on ngurra (Country) and more young people learned from Elders, becoming more involved in meaningful work. These experiences help to keep language, stories and cultural ninti (knowledge) strong, to be passed on to future generations.
In 2025–26, 527 Martu were employed across KJ, returning more than $3.7 million in wages. KJ’s spending also flows directly into Martu communities through rent, local purchases, supplies and other community expenditure. In 2025–26, these payments totaled $575,995. Together with wages paid to Martu, this brought KJ’s financial contribution to Martu people and communities to $4.27 million.
Jobs for Martu represent much more than financial security — they provide opportunities to return to ngurra (Country), pass on knowledge and strengthen cultural identity.
